Are you living your best life? What do you believe is the best life?

Your best life is about you living a life of happiness and success.

Your best life will be different to someone else’s. What are the components to a best life? There will be common thread for everyone. What are those elements that will help you create and live your best life?

 

Work/Life Balance 

Majority of people need to work to have a roof over their head and food on the table. Some people have found their passion in life and a way to monetize that passion that they don’t feel as they are working. And there are some few that have so much money they don’t need to work.

Whether you do or don’t need to work is not the problem. The problem is when work takes over your life. Suddenly, everything you do revolves around your work.

Too many hours working and not enough hours relaxing, or socializing begins to negatively impact your life, health and relationships.

You NEED to have a work/life balance that allows you to enjoy time with family and friends, and any hobbies you have!

Action plan:

Physically write out your schedule. Everything. When you get up to when you drive to work, drop off kids, activities etc. Write it all out and see where your time is being spent.

Change your mindset that you need to have time for you. Carve out a bit of time to do what you love to do.

Goals

How do you feel about goals? Do you think they are important? If so, do you set goals for yourself?

Why does every life coach guru say “You need goals in your personal and business life.”?

If you have a goal you can create positive change in your life.

Having a goal means the start of a road trip. You know where you want to go, now we need to get there.

If you’re only going through the motions of life and not feeling inspired, then now is the time to change that.

What do you want from life? What makes you feel excited or inspired? When you look back on your life what do you want to feel proud of?

Action plan:

Think about what you want and then write down the steps you can take to achieve it.

What would your best life look and feel like?

 

Relationships

Everyone needs relationships: friends, family, significant others.

Relationships give connection and support.

But not all relationships are created equal…

Are there people in your life who seem to serve zero purpose? The ones that are toxic and annoy you?  You know the ones I’m talking about. The ones who take your time, energy and positivity and give nothing in return except for stress and anxiety.

Action plan:

If you can, remove the toxic people from your life so that they don’t have the time or space to affect you negatively any more. If you can’t remove them completely, then plan ways to lessen your exposure to them and make sure that you can interact with them without negativity or feeling used.

Let’s focus on the great relationships. The ones that bring you happiness, love, friendship and support. Those relationships that involve give and take. Let’s develop those relationships. You’ll feel the difference almost immediately.

Consider hiring a life coach to help you create your best life. This could be one of the best investments and relationships you make!

Health

We all know it, health is super important. It’s essential…well to living!

Make sure that you eat healthily and drink plenty of water. Regular exercise will help you with fitness and get the endorphins (feel good hormones) flowing. I usually host a few challenges throughout the year. Keep your eyes open for them!

Action plan:

What is ONE thing you can do to change your health? Is it going for a walk at lunch? Is it drinking 2 glasses of wine instead of the bottle… (don’t judge, I love wine). Write out this one change and how you are going to commit to it for the week!

Happiness

You know happiness is an inside job, right? Choose to be happy!

There will be times when things happen that cause unhappiness, but they are only temporary. There are circumstances that will happen that we cannot control. But what we CAN control is our reaction.

Action plan:

Have a game plan, some strategies in place that can help you find the positive and regain a sense of control in those situations.

You are the master of your destiny and happiness. You have the power to control your feelings. Don’t give that power away to others.

Passion

Find your passion! This is a big one. Passion is something that you are drawn to. A feeling that you cannot explain. A deep fire within for something that you would always want to do no matter what.

Action plan:

What makes you feel alive and that life is worth living? What excites you, fires you up, and makes you want to leap out of bed in the morning? Find that and you have the key to living your best life every day.

Finale

Your best life is the one that you create. It won’t just happen. It requires you to dream, plan, act and create but it will be worth the effort!
