I am interrupting my series of mindfulness to stress the importance of being bold and daring with your life!
Were you ever bullied as a child? If you answered yes, are you carrying it with you into your adult life? Do you cringe to those who “bark louder” if you know what I mean?
There are times when you need to stand your ground! These are the times to be daring and stand up to others!
You may feel like you are an easygoing person, and there is nothing wrong with that. If you are a someone who gives in to others because you don’t want to make waves, this can be okay, maybe, in the right circumstances. But, if you do this all the time, you will get trampled on with more important issues.
What you allow is what will continue
The key is to be strong when it’s important and let the little stuff go by.
In business situations - take a stand and find a way where both you and the other person wins. The person will see that they can’t take advantage of you.
Not everyone will take your new bold strength well. That’s okay. If you do everything you can to try and work with them, you are the bigger person. He or she may have issues with you, but at least they know you will not back down on the bigger issues. Your relationship won’t be the same, but that could be for the better.
Be strong enough to stand up for something...
