Your thoughts are with you all day long. From the moment you wake up, to the moment you finally go to bed. These thoughts control how you are living.

Many people often blame their misfortunes to fate or chance.

Understand this statement, it can change your entire life as you know it.

How we think alters our future.

If you are a negative thinking person, you won’t see solutions when they exist. You will not see any possibility and opportunity that is right in front of you. Because you’re not open. You’re not allowing your brain to think that way. You will knock down any idea that comes your way, thinking it is not possible.

Equally, when you keep a positive outlook, every idea has the ability to become a solution. You have allowed yourself to possibility! You will find the path much quicker than when you don’t accept any ideas.

These cases of positive and negative thinking play out for people over and over.

Positive people advance.

Negative people stay in one place or even fall behind.

You tend to gravitate to people who share the same mental attitude as you.

Negativity will attract negative thinkers and positivity will attract positive thinkers. When you get a group of positive thinkers together, who all are open to many ideas, the possibilities are endless. Negative thinkers will simply find more excuses on why their lives aren’t working for them. They are the best at a pity party…

It would be wrong to say that all positive thinkers have all the answers. Not every idea that positive people come up with will work. The difference is that they are willing to try anything and gauge what works and what needs improvement. They are quick to abandon any idea that isn’t working.

The good news? (Yes, there’s good news…)

Negative thinkers can turn their situations around.

But there’s a catch, they first must admit they have a problem (ah there’s that annoying recognize word...) Then, they have to learn how to reflect on what they were doing and counter the negative thought patterns. One method is using affirmations. These are a great way to reverse the cycle.

In reality, negativity is only a bad habit. Habits can be broken and new habits can be formed. It’s easy to get caught up in negativity due to all of it that exists in the world. News stories, friends, even parents, can all be contributors that help us lead negative lives ourselves.

Big but here….

BUT, don’t beat yourself up if you find yourself being a negative thinker. If you take steps to reverse it, you can live a better life moving forward. Your family, friends, and colleagues will appreciate the new you. The process will take some time, but it will pay off for the rest of your life.
