How to whitelist an email address in Gmail

Sign in to your account at Gmail.com and follow the steps below.

Add the email address to your contacts:

Add the email address  you want to save (that is sending you email eg liz@venuswarriors.com) to your Gmail Contacts. Google usually delivers emails from addresses that are in your Contacts.

Mark the message as ‘Not spam’:

If Gmail marked emails you want to whitelist as spam, tell Gmail the emails are not spam.

  1. In Gmail, go to the spam folder.
  2. Search for the emails containing the domain you wish to whitelist (eg @venuswarriors.com).
  3. Select all the emails shown.
  4. Click More and then Not spam.

Create a filter for the address:

Create a filter to tell Google to whitelist email from a domain.

Click the cog wheel icon  in the top-right corner, and then Settings

  1. Click on Filters and then Create a new filter.
  2. Enter the domain of the email you want to whitelist in the From field.
  3. Click Create filter with this search.
  4. In the box headed When a message arrives that matches this search select Never send it to spam.
  5. Click the Create filter button.

How to whitelist an email address with Outlook

For Outlook sign in to your account and follow the steps below.

Add the address to your contacts:

Add the email address  you want to save (that is sending you email eg liz@venuswarriors.com) to your Outlook Contacts. Outlook will deliver emails from addresses that are in your Contacts.

Add the address to your safe senders:

Adding Known Senders

To add people you email to your Safe Senders list in Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016:

  1. Open Mail in Outlook.
  2. Make sure the Home tab shows on the ribbon.
  3. Click Junk in the Delete section.
  4. Select Junk E-Mail Options in the menu that opens.
  5. Click the Safe Senders tab.
  6. Check Automatically add people in e-mail to the Safe Senders List.

 

Add an Address or Domain to Safe Senders in Outlook

To add an address or domain to Safe Senders in Outlook:

  1. Select Actions | Junk E-mail | Junk E-mail Options from the menu in Outlook.
  2. Go to the Safe Senders tab.
  3. Click Add
  4. Type the email address or domain name you want to whitelist.
    • To add a single address, type “liz@venuswarriors.com”, for example.
    • To add a complete domain, type “venuswarriors.com”, for example.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click OK again.

If you already have a message from the sender you want to add to the Safe Senders list in your Outlook Inbox (or the Junk E-mail folder, of course), the procedure is even easier:

  1. Open a message from the sender (or a sender at the domain) you want to add to Safe Senders.
  2. Select Actions | Junk E-mail and then Add Sender to Safe Senders List or Add Sender’s Domain (@venuswarriors.com) to Safe Senders List.

How to whitelist an email address with Outlook.com

For Outlook.com sign in to your account and follow the steps below.

Add the address to your contacts:

Add the email address  you want to save (that is sending you email eg liz@venuswarriors.com) to your Outlook Contacts. Outlook will deliver emails from addresses that are in your Contacts.

  1. Click the cog icon in the top-right corner and then More mail settings
  2. Select Safe and blocked senders and then Safe senders
  3. Add add the domain of the email you want to whitelist to the list of Safe senders
  4. Return to Safe and blocked senders and then select Safe mailing lists
  5. Add the email address of the online group you want to whitelist to the list of Safe mailing lists

How to whitelist an email address with Yahoo! Mail

Sign in to your account at Yahoo! Mail and do the following.

Add the address to your contacts

Add the email address that is sending you email (eg support@onlinegroups.net) to your Yahoo! Mail Contacts. Yahoo! will usually deliver email from addresses that are in your Contacts.

Create a filter for the address

  1. Mouse over the Settings menu icon and select Settings.
  2. Click Filters and then Add.
  3. Enter a Filter Name.
  4. Enter the domain of the email you want to whitelist in the Sender field.
  5. Select Inbox as the folder to deliver the email to.
  6. Click Save and then click Save again.
